I know what you mean...I had to try to explain Livejournal to a friend the other day...I said, "well, it's like a diary, but I keep it online,"
To which he replied, "Oh yeah, THAT seems safe."
Then I tried to explain Public vs. Friends...but it still wasn't getting through...
...but then again, sometimes I feel like it's easier for me to talk to the people on here, because they DON'T know me in real life (a majority of them, anyway)...there's no retaliation or pop-back (ie being at work and hearing "but you said in your journal that you....")
