I'e been holding this one in my back pocket for a while, and after watching football this weekend, I think it is time to pull it out. If you don't know the story of Ike Ditzenberger, you're about to get the Reader's Digest version. Ike has Downs syndrome, and he played football for Snohomish High School; determined to play at the college level.

I read about it in the Times today and plan to look at it on You-tube. I agree that success in sport or anything should come with discipline and practice. However, I am not sure Ike cares how he came to score the touchdown. From the looks on his face in his picture in The Times, he looks like a happy guy because it obviously really mattered to him.
