Seven days ago, Seattle's mayor Mike McGinn proclaimed February 28 to be John T. Williams Day. For those not from this area, John T. Williams was a woodcarver who was killed by SPD officer Ian Birk. I normally vote yes on school levies because having worked in schools most of my life, I see the need. However, I was so frigging angry about the abuse of tax payer funds in the Seattle School District, that I have vowed to not vote again in favor of another levy for a very long time. The unbelievable lack of integrity of so many of these highly paid top management sickens me. I want to know when we are going to hear from Fred Stephens who is just as guilty as G-J. I hope Locke puts some pressure on him to come forward and tell his story, though if it ever happens, I fear it will be just another bunch of lies. It is enough to want to make me move out of the city.
