When I was in high school, that old gang of mine used to make an annual trek on or near Washington's birthday to Seneca to camp out in the cold. We had to thaw the beer out by the fire in order to drink it. It was great fun. Here's what the old place looks like 44 years later.

Barack Obama won in Iowa and I finally sent a contribution to his campaign. I am embarrassed to admit that I held off until there was some real evidence that he had a real chance. Now it looks like he does if he can overcome Hillary Clinton's long-time strong support in New Hampshire
