Wednesday, April 26, 2006:
Given that we were late the previous morning, we basically flew out of bed and out of our room to go meet everyone in the breakfast area. That morning we saw:
Another eagle, but the pics were too dark so I deleted them.
Young male rhino: (Walking all alone, he wasn't a dominant male though bc he um took care of business far away from the dominant male's markings. Had he done it where the dominant male left his mark, that would have meant he was challenging him to a turf war...)
Hm... I seem to have not uploaded the pic. Maybe later.
A tree with buffalo markings: (Buffalo rub their horns against trees to remove parasites. It's not blood, just the coloring from their horns.)

Back at the lodge during pre-dinner drinks, a Rhino Beetle flew onto the bar. The Rhino Beetle is one of the "Little Five":

That evening dinner was on the patio as it was only us and another Italian couple. We could hear the hippose eating while we ate:

I promise not all the safari posts will be this long :p. We started taking a LOT LESS pictures over the next two days.
