Summary of social networking
I have stated my annoyance and hate for Facebook
awhile back. I only use my current Fb to talk over msgs
with certain people that I talk to everyday. I just want to say-
with my sarcastic shitty sense of humor added to this-
that the majority of social networking sites is consisting of,
ADD, stalking, starting shit, talking shit, and narcissm.
Ofcourse I'm always talking shit on LJ :D here but my data
and activity isn't published every fuckin 5 seconds and I do
not link my LJ anywhere else. No I'm not being condescending either.
Privacy..along with actual
intelligent feedback and associating with intelligent people
has always been a big thing for me.
Facebook for example, has none of that.
There are many people who does not give a flying fuck
how many times you changed your picture, what app you just used,
what you just watched, and whose status and comments you just shit on.
No one gives a crap about some song you just heard, or what dumb shit
you just did unless you meet a celebrity. Am I right?
And also, if you think you're safe from people who don't have u as a friend, think again.
When someone on your friends list comments on your pictures or status,
other mutual friends of that person can see it depending on how you set your
privacy. I've seen alot of random ppl's pics in the newsfeed when I log on
to check my mail. These things you see everyday isn't simply
because Facebook updates our unnecessary activities.
it's because it's recording and storing your data, especially apps that you used.
Yahoo has articles on this. Look into the corporate marketing side of facebook.
Facebook steals and sells your data. If there's scams that earn
money for every ad you click on online and youtube people
earning cash commissioning from views, than so can Social networking sites
making money of off people using it. But who cares.. as long as
we get to make this about us, and have no problem or even
the moral to think perhaps some of the shit we do and post is really trivial
to others..Who cares right. I've seen so many talk shit about what others
post and gossip about pics,
I've grown disgusted with these fake shits and gossiping. Overall, I don't link my
accounts anywhere
nor do I link fuckin facebook to anything. Doing so would result in
your other online data being updated into fb and vice versa.
There is no such thing as privacy in these sites no matter WHAT they say.
And if u happen to have intelligent supporting friends and family..good for u :).
Because if u ever get yourself in a bundle, trust me, most of the 500 friends you have
in these social
networking sites will not reply with an intelligent supporting comment,
offering help or suggesting any intelligent advice but they will be quick
to pry into your business. Livejournal is the only site where I posted something in other communities,
and I received comments where I thought were helpful and insightful. And they
were from Strangers. Id rather have strangers with interesting, knowledgeable things to say,
than a bunch of dumb ass people that have nothing knowledgeable to say.
It's mostly the fact that we like to see
people post something new about their life. We like to pry, we like to be curious,
we like to avert our own lives and pry into other ppl's shit once awhile.
We also like to say something when
we look at other people's shit. I'm no hypocrite, I use to be into social networking sites.
I realized that it also deteriotes your level of thinking.
That ends my rant. I am not trying to force my thoughts or suggest we all quit social
networking. You do what you think is best.
