There is no such thing, and there never was even before I got to my current state. When I was still in my body, being on the run brought the challenge of assuming nothing was typical along with it. Varzil's wanted you to learn the basics of several skills so that
you have them available, to use or pass on. Tricky, not knowing what you may need to have at your call in the future.
Do your folk have any oath or pledge of conduct, for someone being taught to use a Gift upon another's mind or body? I expect not--'tis new even here.

She recalls the echoes in the detention center, and in Al's mind...The Corps is Mother, The Corps is Father... I will always stand by my Cadre and the Corps...
But I think one of our oldest oaths might be good to use in this case. It's called the Hippocratic Oath, and it is almost threethousand years old. It is a vow for healers - they swear to use their skills only to help people, never to harm them. We could modify this for telepaths taught by the Towers, can't we?
