I hear the Minbari define self-sacrifice as a principle of sentient life, but I always thought hope is one, too. And you see, yours was right!

I know it sounds like an empty platitude, but it's probably best to give him time, Vir. He had two scans in a short row, and before that what the technomages did to him; the mind needs space to heal. Of course, he can't supress into all eternity, that would be equally wrong. Perhaps the best thing would be to make him confront his fears by confronting him with the people who caused them. Not now, but later, when he has had more time to recover.
