Erik walked into the bedroom, where Rogue was playing with her new kitten. She was smiling, dangling a little feather on the end of a stick, watching the little kitten dive after it enthusiastically

"I guess I'll just have ta print it out an' send it ta everyone instead." Rogue grinned wickedly, rubbing Finn's head. She looked up at Erik and nodded. "Yeah. He ain't exactly...okay. Which is understandable. If'n ya were in jail I'd be just like he is."
"There are very few jails that can hold me, my dear," Erik said, a shade arrogantly. "And of course, I realize that is why Pyro is upset. However, I...it seems to me I may have been neglectful, lately, in keeping a close eye on what is going on. I do want to respect privacy--to a point--but I am worried about Pyro, to be honest."
Erik sighed. "He has not been himself since before this happened with Doug."
"No, he hasn't." Rogue set Finn down, sighing. "He's...you know what happened with Jean-Paul, right?" From his blank expression she had a feeling that he didn't. She scratched the kitten's head. "Everyone kinda is. Its the isolation, Erik. Makes people crazy." God she hoped she wasn't overstepping any boundaries by telling him this. Peered at him through her hair. Uncertain.
Erik regarded her solemnly. "In our room, Anna, you may say what you want. That is why I came in here to have this conversation." He thought about what she said. "And Toad...I understand why he did what he did, but perhaps I should have a talk with him. He should have come to me with any concerns." Erik raked a hand through his hair. "I feel as if I have lost something. Focus, perhaps. Toad is attempting to break up relationships. Pyro is leaving training exercises to burn up humans who insult his lover. And I find none of it out until it is too late."
He looked at her curiously. "You know these things. How do you know these things?"
