Who I am and what I do... they're really not capable of being seperated from one another. They never have been. I am the Leader. I am the Adult. I am the Responsible One. Because I was molded and shaped and turned into someone who would die for family. For Friends. For Normalacy. For Control.

And in at least one universe you've passed that on to children and grandchildren.

Have I? Then I suppose that I have served some function, and that I have left something behind that is worth leaving.

Or I've managed to corrupt and condemn a second and third generation to a fight that should have been ended with mine.

You have indeed left behind something worth leaving. Your daughter Rachel and her husband lead an Xmen who's only role is to police the occasional aggressive extra-terrestrials or drunken Jugernaught. Your children have never known the pain of being rejected for having a certain gene.

...Which is why my parents still cannot understand why I chose to leave the Xmen and become part of an intrademensional 'terrorist group'.

You're an incredible writer, Mr. Summers. This is one of the most enjoyable journal reads I've had since I came into live journal.

Thank you very much. I'm glad you enjoyed it, though I have to admit being this... open in the journal is more than a bit... distressing at times.
