Oh? You haven't heard of me? Really?? That's inconceivable. Surely you must have been living under a rock or in some very remote backwater of the kingdom

Whoa. You look like that shrink from the state. I don't think Dr Stiles is Sicilian though....
((OOC: Wallace Shawn plays has a reoccurring role in the TV show Crossing Jordan on NBC. He plays a state psychiatrist that seems a little off center but in fact is very very cagey. Princess Bride is one of my favs and whenever I see him on the show I fight the urge to say "inconceivable"))
Could it be that I have an imposter? Inconceivable! Although, I could see someone else wanting to use my reputation to his advantage. I'll have to look into this.
(OOC: I went to IMDB after getting Jordan's comment, assuming that was the case. ;-) But thanks for the background. I haven't seen Crossing Jordan.)
Now, why is meeting you making me think of the Grand Nagus? Not Rom--Zek. The ex-Grand Nagus, who's living in peace, prosperity, and presumably jamaharon on Risa these days.
Strange.
Yes, Wallace Shawn played Zek the Ferengi on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. I used the coincidence to make a fellow-Trekkie watch The Princess Bride with me, so now she knows all about Vezzini. *grin* Hurrah for connections.
The Grand Nagus? I don't believe I've heard of him. *rubs chin* But he sounds like he could be worth knowing.
I'm Vizzini, and you are?
(OOC -- I did know that he played a Ferengi, but I don't know enough about DS9 to know who exactly. I've seen probably a 4th of the episodes. And it's always fun to get someone else to watch PB. Yay!)
From what I know of him and you, I think you'd get along famously. He's a businessman, used to be a political leader. A king, almost. Very rich. My son is good friends with his adopted grandson Nog, but don't really know him personally.
I'm Kasidy Yates, freighter captain.
(OOC: He played the head of the Ferengi financial empire--which of course means he was a brilliant businessman and steeped in the 'virtues' of greed and profit-hunting. Vizzini might like him! And PB rocks greatly. :D)
You know of me? Really? It's good to see that my reputation proceeds me.
Oh, a former political leader? Yes, you can never have too many high profile friends, if you know what I mean.
It's nice to meet you. What kind of freight do you carry?
[OOC: Ahh, yes, gotta love Ferengi 'values'. And yes, I suspect that Vizzini would like him, well, until they disagreed on something and both wanted to be in charge. Viz has got issues with that. *g*]
