Endings

I feel like a lot of the big entertainment related things in my life are coming to a close all at once...

On Sunday, I watched (with the rest of the world) the last ever episode of LOST. Who was happy? Disappointed? Confused? Angry? I felt a bit of all of these things. I wasn't satisfied with the ending simply because so much was left unsaid and ( Read more... )

My husband and I were huge LOST *and* BSG fans, so it's funny you did both finales in one week. Those are two of the rare hour-long dramas we both loved equally; We're kind of in TV-mourning now, lol.

Yeah, I honestly don't have any regular TV shows left to watch as they air at this point. We didn't actually plan to have the LOST and BSG finales in the same week, but it just sort of happened that way... everybody was free for the BSG party for the first time on the night after LOST ended :)

I thought LOST ended exactly as I expected it to -- with an eye closing and a white-out, which after six years of eye imagery and white light, I thought was very, very fitting. I thought the ambiguous funeral reception was really touching and beautiful -- from Hugo and Ben's exchange to Jack and Christian's pivotal exchange. Everything that happened on the island really happened, but in death, each LOSTie was able to go to that alternate reality in Los Angeles to work out their various issues until they were ready to have their eyes opened and move forward. Of course, that is just my interpretation, and I could be swayed to see it a different way. I think Ben and Hugo lived on the island for years and years, maybe centuries like Jacob and his twin ( ... )

Yeah, all of what you just said is exactly what I think. The alternate reality was just a limbo where each of them went the moment they died on or off the island. It did not have any 'time' or 'place' to it so even though they all appeared to be there at the same 'time', Charlie, for instance, was there right after his death in the underwater station, Jack went there when he died on the island, Kate and Sawyer and Claire, etc went there after they naturally died once they returned home, which is why it's been so long for Kate since she last saw Jack, missing him the whole time ( ... )

I feel just so touched for all you wrote here... :)
I´m almost new into this "love", but OMG if I don´t loved them well!! (quoting James Frasier from "Outlander").
I think this ending is emotional and hard for all of us, who saw this little kids become the warriors they were in the end:)
I´m an idiot... I don´t know why I´m crying right now :(

Aw, no, I totally understand. I'll be crying my eyes out on the day of DH 1. DH 2... I'll probably just lie down on the theatre floor and die while waiting for the film to start.
