I really love art that gives you a very specific feeling when you see it. This piece is one of my favourites and is by JPdotty. I don't know her so I hope it's okay that I'm sharing her art here... I did credit her after all ;)

I was sure that she was up for an award at the rhr_awards, but I can't find it now. I guess maybe I was mistaken...

Hello good art critic :)

I fail at things like that, I just like it because I like it, you know? I'm gonna be shit at teaching art appreciation when I become an art teacher hahahaha

Hah, well thanks! Never thought of myself as that at all... I was kinda like 'is this going a little over the top to say all this about one little piece of art??' But I really just typed out what I thought of when I first saw it :)

Art teacher! That would be a pretty good job, I think.

Thanks! Well, thank JPdotty for making this :) I love poking around DeviantArt for stuff. Great way to spend an afternoon.

I love this piece, she looks so dejected. I think the little bird looking up at her gives a tiny glimmer of hope to it.

Yes, that's true. I really love that there is only one bird instead of all of the ones she conjured flying around.

I like her depiction of Hermione. She captures her mood and how upset she was VERY well.

This is wonderful!!!!

Missgranger told me about this one I'd missed. It is a really, really elegantly right piece. I love the juxtaposition of that newly minted bird, looking quizzically at his creator, and she is so wonderfully oblivious and just a bit dead inside. Nice!
