Hi there! rdprice sent me over to help you out. I am a full time cloth diapering mom, so if you have any questions other than the ones above, please ask away.
1) One size fits all, all in one diapers are VERY difficult to find. You will probably have to go with pocket diapers in One Size or a fitted one size diaper which requires a cover. Have you looked at bumgenius diapers on cottonbabies.com?
2) I am a day care provider and I have to say that the velcro diapers are the easiest.
3) Cloth diapering will REALLY help you here. If you go One Size, then the diapers are ready for the next kid. It will also save you thousands of dollars, even though the initial investment is steep. You can buy them used through the clothdiapering community on LJ
4) motherease or bumgenius diapers are both more reasonable even if you buy them new
5) making your own will cost you more, unless you're making prefolds or you can get the materials in bulk.
1. Drat! I kept writing All in One when what I actually meant was pocket, I am leaning towards bumgenius, but the price is a bit steeper than I would prefer.
2. Thanks,I'm glad to have the opinion of a professional! :) It's important to me that the childcare center has a positive experience with cd'ing because, as I mentioned earlier, if I am going to make this work out financially, it will require full time cloth diapering.
3. How many diapers would you sugggest purchasing? Would you recommend staying with all the same type, or switching it up a bit.
4. Thanks for the mention of motherease, I had almost written them off because they required a cover, but I really got a lot of information from the company's website and I will absolutely consider them, as well.
5. That's great to hear, I have tons of projects to catch up as it is before I try to start something else.
I'm going to check out some of the groups. I hope to see you around!
