Name: Kaitlin
Nickname(s): Kate, Yonker, many others
Age: 18
Likes: details, late mornings and clear skies, real spring and autumn (not transitional periods like they usually are), high quality films (epic, silent, indie, arthouse (NeilJordanislove), etc), traditional animation (Glen Keane and Sylvain Chomet are kings among men), androgyny, music (jazz, classical, rock, pop), blue comedy, comics, cartoons, research, family, history, designing, bookstores, antique stores, snuggling, having a good drawing day, finding a good bargain, sewing, cosplay, steampunk, opera (Donizetti, Mozart and Puccini - Yay!, Verdi - Blech!), humility, Wikipedia (it feeds my research habit), musical theatre, philanthropists, architecture (renaissance, baroque, classical, neoclassical, modern, *drools inappropriately*)
Dislikes: flagellants/extremists, dishonesty, know-it-alls (the "I hate stupid people and couldn't be bothered to educate them bcuz their stupid" types), bigotry of any kind, PC assholes, lazy whiners, conspiracy theorists, bitter people, socialites, school administrators (they're mostly useless), mean girls (a strong case for eugenics, imo), religious/atheist extremists, "a girl was molested bcuz they didnt' forward this. forward this to 15 people or u will be raped and killed 2" memes
Hobbies: reading, writing, drawing/designing, animating, eating, sleeping, researching, cosplay, pondering,
Talents: speed reader, drawing, speed typist (90-100 WPM), eye for colour, high constitution for staying up at all hours or getting up early, trivia geek, horseback riding, some acting, accents/weird voices
Pet peeves: missing my train or being stuck somewhere, someone rude telling me how to behave or treat someone, people who think their poetry/lyrics/story is great when it's a mountain of cliches and unoriginality, grammar freaks, pervs who honk, leer, and speed away, girls who obsess over why their boyfriends don't devote every waking hour to them, illegible websites/profiles, people who assume I hate everything because I don't like what they like or I point out where things can be improved, people who wait for an accident to happen and then wonder how it could have been avoided, being interrupted, people who expect you to know what's wrong, quoting whatever is trendy and unfunny (Napolean Dynamite, Office Space, Rob Schneider, etc), anime fangirls who fit the stereotype (loud, 25 word Japanese vocabulary, chubby, Hot Topic style, hairy, etc) and loads of stuff I can't remember
Strong points: encouraging, self-aware, night owl, ticklish, friendly, outside thinker, moderate, critical/analytical, funny, stubborn, stern/commanding, generous, sarcastic, friendly, energetic, productive, good taste, creative, apologetic, laid-back, young at heart, curious, work rat, great boobs
Weak points: spiteful, shy, overly sensitive, procrastinator, foul mouthed, foot in mouth syndrome, critical/blunt, talkative, unintentionally vain, reckless, forgetful, naive, weak self-defender, grouchy, lazy, dismissive, easy to upset, hard to work with, intimidating, chin chub
Favorite food: seasoned rice (jasmine, saffron, etc), pizza, cupcakes, strawberry shortcake with real whipped cream, kappa maki, chicken, brunch foods, water
Favorite color: hot pink, scarlet, bright orange, golden yellow, emerald green, sapphire blue, violet, pearl white, ebony, silver, chocolate brown, and almost all colours
Mature or immature: I do think I'm mature, but I do have my moments of ignorance or foot-in-mouth syndrome.
Who is your favorite character? Why? I like all of the Mews for their own reasons (except Purin. She gets on my nerves.) Ichigo's standard magical girl personality has always been appealing to me. Mint is very stylish and I'm a little jealous she dances en pointe. Lettuce is a sweetheart and green has always been a favourite colour of mine and Zakuro is the epitome of cool.
Anything else? I'm not done with the series, but I know a fair amount of spoilers, I'm still watching on YouTube, I'm almost done with the manga, and 4Kids is the devil. :) I also really like it when they have English dialogue in the original. It's fascinating and puts a unique spin on the show. (And I'm sorry if my application sounded bitter. I'm usually cheerful.)
Pictures:
(Me in my favourite shirt about my favourite opera)
(Me in my prom dress with my date (my teddy bear!) You can't see it, but I was wearing four inch black boots under my dress, which barely kept me from tripping.)
And one more full sized picture for the road. I'm sorry I have so few, but I did want to share.) ^_^;
