A little short, but I'm seeing Ichigo, if only because of your boyfriend. ^^; But Ichigo will also defy people to stand up for what she believes in, dislikes seeing people getting picked on, has problems with Mint when she's being snobby and Ryou when he's being a jerk, and she also comes across as being kinda impatient yet loyal to her friends - and seems to do okay with instructions. (And she waited til the last possible day to do her summer homework. Heh. But then, who doesn't procrastinate?)

The castles/old buildings comment reminded me most of Zakuro and/or the Saint Rose Crusaders. Perhaps Duke.
