blah blah blah

Well, the past two weeks have left me feeling just...blah. Hysterectomies do funny things to women's bodies. My body just isn't...my own anymore. I used to feel in control of it, and knew it inside and out....now, not so much. Going to see the surgeon on Friday for it. Hopefully I will get it all straightened out ( Read more... )

Hello,
I don't know where I am in cyber world, how I got here or what I'm doing but I wanted to let you know I am sorry to hear about your Grandfather. I met him once at a balloon rally in NJ years ago when I was training for my pilot's license. He was a friend of many balloonists and he really did capture the feeling of the sport in his art. I am proud to own a small piece called "Sunday Morn" and just recently I was looking at it and thinking about William Coombs.
Thanks for posting your tribute to him.
My best to you and your family.

We knew Will Coombs very well. He was a very good friend of ours and we have a huge amount of his art work; some of it with personal notes. My husband and Will did many balloon shows together.

I'm sorry you never got to really know him well. He was a true unforgettable character. Will was bright, talented, stubborn--an artist. He was thrilled to finally be in contact with his first family and very proud of them. He wished he had been in contact with you sooner. There are so many stories to tell about our friend Will that they would fill a book. He will always be in our hearts and our memories. We hope he will always be in yours.

Thank you both for speaking about my Grandfather. I have always been proud to call him that. Iam an artist too, but I always give the credit first to him. The small amount of time I was able to know him was wonderful. I would love to hear your memories about him.
