Last night I attempted to get a PUG together for ST. Someone had the LFM section on auto add members so I was automatically put into this guy's group (we shall call him Annoying). Still looking for other people to run it, he switches to his alt to look in the AH for stuff. I was getting kind of bored, so I checked the LFM thingie again and there was another group of 4 who needed one more. I sent the leader a message asking if they were going in soon and he said, oh I just got a 5th, a mage. Hm. The guy I had grouped with was a mage. Asked if it was that guy, yeah it was. Well then. So I leave the group and head down to ST anyway. Find one to join the group, ask the original guy if he wants to get back in and he said no sorry man. Ok... 5 minutes later he asks for an invite. We get two more and then two get disconnected. Wait around awhile longer, no one is even near ST to help summon so we wouldn't get started for awhile. Got tired of waiting for them and left the group. (prob 45 mins at this point) Check the LFM thing again, someone else is looking for a group and they only had 3. Waited some more. Finally got into that group and found out that Annoying was also there. Heh. Speed along and we head to ST, summon everyone and head in. We got through the pre-dungeon stuff and Annoying is still standing up at the summoning stone. Apparently he went AFK and never came back. We went in, killed a bunch of stuff. Finally Annoying got booted from the group because he never came back. Someone found another person to join up so we ended up with me (53 rogue), a 53 tank, 49 mage, 50 lock, and 50 priest. Pretty nice group.
This was my first time in ST and it seemed like it was easy. Stuff went down fast, though it probably took 2-3 hours to get through it all. Only one wipe before the main dragon (55 elite) boss and that was because there was confusion as to whether we were jumping down or taking the stairs. Wiped twice on the dragon. The DPS wasn't high enough and my armor couldn't handle it when the tank was put to sleep. But, I was top on the damage meter which makes me happy. I don't really know if I'm any good when it comes to grouping, and since I'm a combat rogue whose purpose is to do damage, it's very good that I can fill that role. I also finished a few quests and got my class reward for one of them. Woot.
