I haven't posted for so long.
Friday night L and I walked to Newlands cricket stadium to hear Angus Buchan. He was an interesting speaker and very down-to-earth. The vibe was relaxed, we had seats on the field which was nice. Some folks sat on blankets and had picnics and kids could run around if they wanted to. My nose got cold. Afterwards we stopped off at our local mall for interesting hamburgers, which unfortunately left L smelling of garlic the rest of the weekend.
On Saturday morning I had to get my highlights done, and finally I took some wedding photos to my hairdresser for him to put in his brag file. The highlights are a bit of a bore but I had a Sheri Tepper to read. Also, my hairdresser and his husband have a tiny little adopted daughter and she was running all over the salon which was fun.
Married life is interesting, and when people come over to visit like on Saturday night it is just so cool. Four friends came over for a braai and games. The braai was all done by the men, and the salad too I must add. L roasted his homegrown sweet potatoes in foil, and I baked bread and, later, cake.
We played Fluxx and then Zombie Fluxx which entailed some groaning sound effects. It was all a lot of fun. here.
