Yesterday: my first flight with my hands and feet on the controls of the plane, v. cool.

Today: my first third-degree burn, small but distinctly charred.

Am now having a quiet night at home, working on manuscripts while keeping an eye on my hamster's antics. Feels like real life to me.

Congratulations, ouch and commiserations, and I hope the burn isn't getting in the way of work. From personal experience, my first guess as to the most likely location for a small but severe burn is on your hands, where it will maximise inconvenience. :-(

The first is tres cool (I recall mine), the second... yeouch. I have yet to get more than a 3nd. That was bad enough.
