Can I just say what an utterly brilliant invention the fly swatter is?

Seriously, rolled up newspaper, magazine, taut rubber-band, whatever, that SO rarely works (although the one time I twanged a fly from across the room with a rubber-band had me feeling like master of the universe for the rest of the day). Flies seem capable of taking off
