So, Gerard is the Captain Jack Harkness of To Quarters. *grin* Thus far, you know. I think I'm in love. The banter with Bush -- perfect.

Love this. Especially the characterisation of Hornblower, which comes through so well. And you know, it's not only a great, cracktastic idea, it's a good read.

Have finally gotten a chance to go through and read this from the beginning--great fun! I love the idea of Hornblower in the Trek universe, and you do have his voice and internal workings down perfectly. The fish is a fantastic touch, and Bush and Gerard playing with cannon on the holodeck. *happy sigh* There is something about a Captain who prefers an old fashioned book--they always seem to do well. *grin* The parallels to the original are a huge amount of fun--I'm looking forward to the next installment!

i think the books come from growing up with Picard on the tv screen every weekend.
thank you for liking little napoleon! there's just something so amusing about hornblower staring at this happy little fish with an absurd color.
