Oh no no nooo! You have to introduce them slowly. Oh no. Don't leave her in there. Rats WILL hurt each other. I'm not sure what options you have since you don't have a second cage...

And, yes, part of it involves cleaning the things inside so that it reduces some of the "territory" issues. But, introducing two rats, when one is not a baby, takes time and keeping them separate.

Don't worry, I did introduce them slowly. Two seperate meets, at different places, and I let the tiny one smell in the cage before, (it was clean) and let the doors open and all that jazz. I'm not crazy! I read a lot on rats you know.

Yeah, its just weird because in neutral or partially neutral territories they are fine. Now they slept in their little house together inside the cage for maybe an hour, then woke up and fought again. I think they're going to be in seperate cages for the night (I have an hamster cage for traveling and the tiny one will sleep there for the night I think. Its a bit small but considering the potential danger and the fact she's so tiny, its an option I cherish.)

I didnt expect this because the first introductions went SO well. The cage is another story.

The whole thing made me cry :( I guess all that is normal but I hate it. I will never have males and the guts to introduce them! It must be like hell.

Oh, and they've been out for several hours with in and outs of the cage. Breaks, try again and all.
