i've been lurking for several weeks now only to find that half of my friends have either abandoned their blogs or removed me as their friend

Holy The Last Unicorn theme, Batman! Should be more ashamed when admitting I've watched the movie, but I don't meet enough other people who have to care.
I will pile on to your awkward by admitting I no longer remember which fandom I friended you through! Off to a good start, yeh.
Be my friend, fellow Netflix documentary watcher. I have recently returned to LJ as well, and have no lj friends left either. Besides, then I won't feel like such an asshole posting about all the crap I watch constantly. :) I'm Erin.
Vell.... I started at lj in 2002...and was a loyal and faithful user until Facebook came along, when I rejected poor lj as everyone drifted away. Used FB until I couldn't stand most people on my friends list and only got angry and resentful reading my feed - decided I needed my face NOT glued to my computer screen constantly. Decided there was no point in looking at something that made me feel bad things...daily. So, did away with that, and came back here to remember how to write out my thoughts in more than a single sentence.
Other than that. I'm 30, I live in CA, I'm not generally a fan of most humans, I have a pig child, I like documentaries on Netflix (have you seen the disappearing bees one? interesting), I work in a hospital (which isn't always great for a humannonliker), and....I like to eat sweet potatoes.
oh, dear. i'm definitely a noob compared to 2002. i have no idea when i started mine up but i know that i drifted away when tumblr started up and so that's where i've been for the last couple years. i'm trying to juggle them both now since i have so much free time on my hands due to . . . circumstances. i'm still working out how to communicate my thoughts in paragraph form. it's not working. so you have a real pig? like, a legit pig?
sweet potatoes are the best. i love horror films and documentaries on netflix. and i have not seen the disappearing bees one. what is it called? would you recommend it?
I guess that's more than normal, seeing as a lot of people kind of drifted off Livejournal after Tumblr/Twitter got more... activity.
me, well. I should be reading two books due to Monday for college (which I just started this August), but I'm a hell of a procrastinator. what about you?
i'm pretty sure all active internet users are procrastinators. there is just so much fun and happiness and rainbows on the internet!
things are going pretty great. i'm taking a year off uni because my cancer came back and i'm in and out of the hospital for chemo. my girlfriend has been staying with me to take care of me. but we had a great summer together! and she'll be here for a few more months yet. other than that, i've just been spending way too much time online and playing video games and reading. watching movies. the usual.
welll, i hope you get your books read in time! and that life overall has been treating you fairly.
I swear I was this close to getting my books when my friend told me Mean Girls was on. lasjdkfça~al, it's a conspiracy!
I'm glad to hear your girlfriend has been helpful and supportive, really. having someone by your side always make things seem at least a little less difficult. ♥
talking about books, have you read something good lately? I figure after I'm done with those, I need to put my hands on some, because the last one I got was Edgar Allan Poe, about a month ago. it feels like ages.
i've mostly just been reading the classics and comic books. the new 52 that dc are releasing this month have been mostly great and kept me a little busy. i've also been reading old arcs and trade paperbacks.
as for novels, right now i'm reading war of the worlds and it's good so far. but i mean, idk what are you interested in? crime and punishment, the jungle, 1984 and the phantom tollbooth might be my favorite books of all time. dracula is pretty good, too. and trainspotting, but that's not a classic. les miserables is brilliant but gets dull in the history lesson parts. a clockwork orange is great. illusions: the adventures of a reluctant messiah blew my 13 year old mind lol. american psycho was deliciously disturbing, but not a classic. hmm. idk, i can't think of any other AMAZING books right now . . .
