Oh Josh, don't feel sorry for Aristotle. The text you are reading is peiced together lecture notes rescued from fires, Moors, Crusaders, and over-zealous monks with itchy editing fingers.

Aristotle and Plato had a habit of veiwing written materials as plebian; they saved their best material for their lectures. Those great words are gone with the minds of their students.

All we have left are the little shreds. Do with it what you can.
