backup software ?

What are people doing for backups? I'm recovering data for my neighbor's across the street whose hard drive crapped out (of course bad sectors in the NTFS Master File Table), which is a good reminder that I should probably be doing something to backup at least Keri's stuff

I've used/supported a bunch of Windows servers that used NTbackup as the primary backup solution. It works okay for backing up to tape, but it has weird problems backing up over a network. Furthermore, NTbackup has been removed from versions of Windows after XP. There's a replacement that can only backup to dedicated disks (not partitions, it's dumb) but its essentially the same as NTbackup otherwise.

I generally recommend Mozy online, but you specifically said no online service.
