I LIKE ALL YOUR EXCLAMATION POINTS!!!

BRAN AND SAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I figured that would happen but it was still so thrilling.
I KNOW!! CHARACTERS! MEETING UP! EXCHANGING INFORMATION! WHAT IS THIS TOMFOOLERY.

TIME FOR THE REIGN OF KING TOMMEN!
Nah, let's go get Myrcella back. Cersei was going to kill Tommen anyway.

But either one would be better than Joffrey. In fact, here, this was my preference list for the Iron Throne at the beginning of the second book:

Catelyn
Tyrion
Jon
Dany
Robb
Renly
Stannis
Cersei
Jaime
Balon
Arya
Sansa
Bran
Rickon
Ghost
The ghost of Lady
A stick
Joffrey

The Jon/Ygritte scene was brutally heartbreaking. I didn't care for their schmoopy relationship stuff, but her shooting and nearly killing him with arrows for leaving her is like... damn. That is amazing. And his laugh-crying at "you know nothing, Jon Snow." IT WAS ALL SO SAD. That made me care more about them than any of their making out ever did. YGRITTE ; ( ... )

I'm just trying to follow the rules of male succession okay! I DON'T MAKE THE RULES

I would also put "the boar that killed Robert Baratheon" on the list before Joffrey.

When I was writing about that scene, I was talking about how it was the worst toll ever, and people were just laughing their asses off at me.

It really seemed so shitty at the time! Ah. We were all so much younger once.

OH MY FUCKING GOD GREY WIND'S HEAD ON ROBB'S BODY. NO. NOOOOOOOOOOOOO. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I didn't cry last week but that sure did it. FUCKING HORRIFICAwwww. There's actually foreshadowing for this in the books! Daenerys in the House of the Undying is in a feast hall and all the food is moulding and all the guests have been slaughtered, but there's also the king's body sitting there with a wolf's head instead of his own; I didn't really think anything of it since she sees plenty of weird shit while she's in there, but, um, yeah, apparently that was foreshadowing the Red Wedding ;_; And yes, I am so glad they included the Rat King story in Bran's bit because I didn't really get the point of that while reading and I was like "huh?" but you know I actually miss a LOT while reading since so much is ~between the lines~ or implied and you have to piece it together yourself with the clues you get. I read the books pretty quickly so I wouldn't be spoiled for future plot points, but when I ( ... )

Shiiiiiiit that's rad about the House of the Undying foreshadowing. Everything that happened in there was like "I'M SURE THIS ALL MEANS SOMETHING BUT I DON'T KNOW WHAT." Stuff like that there's really no way you'd catch it until you go back much later and reread. Hell i usually have to go back to points within the same book and be like "OOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHH" at something that gets clarified or expanded upon later on.

I won't say anything else about your other reactions because I don't want to accidentally ruin the next seasons for you

:) You're the best.

There are things you say in here that make me laugh and rub my hands mischievously like "JUST WAIT AND SEE" :D :D :D But you are hilariously on point in a few ways you may not realize you're being hilariously on point re: upcoming plot lines ( ... )

In the books we hear about Robb/Grey Wind but it's sort of spread as a rumor so I always liked to pretend it was just some dumb Frey making it up. So seeing it was like :\ :\ :\ :\
YES EXACTLY. I kind of thought it was just made-up like half the goddamn things the smallfolk say. Those people cannot keep information straight ever. It's a countrywide game of Telephone.

someone who uses livejournal to express feelings! A dying breed! Yesss!
I KNOW RIGHT. I mean, I would maybe bother to express feelings if anyone were fucking here.

:O

I love love loooove Dany but more in theory or ideas than actually watching her.

I'm kinda the same way, like if it was all dragons and the last remaining heir of a destroyed royal family i'd be great with it. But on the show at least she's gotten a bit smug for me, and the self-satisfied benevolent white lady thing is getting really gross. And unfortunately to get her to a point where she awesomely rides into Westeros on a dragon they have to do the really predictable rise to power, so it's just... blargh. I miss how excited i was about her at the end of s1.

I'm mostly confused with why they chose to end it on Dany when there are so many EPIC SUPERNATURAL THINGS THEY COULD HAVE CHOSEN FROM.Yeah, my main response to it was "that's it??" It was not an exciting or revalatory scene at all, and seems especially anticlimactic when you compare it to the s1 dragon ending and s2 White Walker ending ( ... )

When i was most excited about Dany at the end of s1, i saw people talking about how unenthused they were with her in later books, but i just couldn't imagine how because SHE SEEMED SO AWESOME! But now i get it. :/

Except it's SO FRUSTRATING how damn close so many Starks were to each other without actually getting reunited.

That's why i was so concerned that Bran and Sam were gonna have some dumb miscommunication! SO MANY ANNOYING CLOSE CALLS. Stupid fractured Starks ;______;
