I have already signed a petition against this at the last gun & knife show here in Orlando, but i'm send in this letter also :)

I carry on average 2 knifes all the time, and if i'm going somewhere not so friendly I will carry 2 more, and thous are switch blades (one in each boot) But, I have a concealed weapons permit and also carry a 9mm.

You are over 18, you should get a permit there only like $50 here in Florida.

This law won't pass by the way. they have tried this several times in the past

Barry carries usually one or two, and I carry one. We aren't old enough to carry guns, but when we can we'll get our concealed carry permit.

Well they are already enforcing this at Customs in the airports and everywhere customs are, so I feel this one is more serious. Here's the link with all the information at Blade Forums if you'd like to read more on it.

First of all - I never said they weren't useful/can be used everyday for useful things etc. In fact on the desk in front of me right now is a Swiss Army Knife used as a letter opener

Well if you're so concerned about your city why don't you either join a volunteer group to try and help it, or talk to a...err I donno if you have them there, but like a mayor or someone big and try to set up something. I'm not being sarcastic either. You seem to love your city, and you seem hurt by it going to the wayside. If you really like it, try to help it. Even if it's just making the buildings prettier, maybe setting up a teenage hangout to help keep kids off the street, I donno. Some things like that really help. Granted there will still be crime, but there are always ways you can help. I'd love to do something like this someday, I think it would be amazing. Maybe something to think about? But I just don't know how things work over there

making it illegal = only criminals have them. at least for the most part. i'm horrified of guns but really only personal reasons, like i'd never have one here, but knives are a completely different story really. i feel a lot safer if i can carry something, even a pocket knife on me, if i go out. it's saved me a couple times really. and you're right, they're really handy. what about people who carry box knives for work? those are really dangerous.. more than a pocket knife for sure!

Yea, that's what happens whenever you ban ANYTHING. All the good people that need whatever you're banning for protection are now sitting ducks while the criminals have everything. I love carrying my pocket knife for so many reasons, and only one is defense. It is so nice having someone say "shit I can't get this open" and then I can pull out my knife and help them.

Well you only need to send one letter, so save the rest of the stamps! Just send e-mails of that letter in the link to your senators and/or representatives. I had 3 people to e-mail, and then the letter. I made my brother do the 3 e-mails and I did 2 for my dad, and I'm going to send out 3 letters, one from me, dad and brother. :D I'm all over this shit.
