I'm going to get a flat screen TV. After watching the different TVs at Best Buy and Circuit City, I definately want an LCD HDTV. I also think Sony has the best picture quality. So now I have two choices in the price range I'm willing to spend.

40 inch 1920 x 1080 (True-HD, but nothing is actually using this resolution yet)

46 inch 1366 x 768I'm ( Read more... )

i'd go with the 40 inch, it's better resolution, which someday will come in handy, and it's just going to have a sharper image, as it's not only smaller but higher res.

and the fact that it's smaller shouldn't really be a huge concern, 40" is still pretty freaking huge!

but i suppose really, the best way to tell, is try to see them both running, preferably with the same high def source, and see which looks better.

Unfortunately noplace seems to have this particular model. I haven't checked the Sony store yet though. But there's a Sony store right next to where we work so I'm going to have to walk over there during lunch.

Unless I can convince my future landlord to leave his flat screen...

Apparently before he worked here he used to order stuff from trade shows.
