because
a) They're lazy
b) They don't know how to do anything
c) They don't want to be held liable for accidents
d) They're old, and everyone knows old people are useless
e) They know that if they don't, Cody will have to, and if Cody has to, he can't come to the Aquabats, and if he can't come to the Aquabats, everyone will be sad. And they like it when everyone's sad.
