now is the threading completely gone or just really really loose? cause you could just wrap some sealing tape around the threads which will make it nice and snug when you screw it together...if not then you could use electrical tape ;)
Hose clamps and popsicle sticks (really, anything that was more than and inch or two tall and had some decent strength) would work, though it'd be hella ugly. McMaster-Carr has a part that'll do the trick, 4570K111 (You'll have to search, I have no way of linking to it)
Jb-weld would also work,and I'm pretty sure it's thick enough to not move so much when you put the pipes together. It's sandable, in any case.
lol, yeah, you were here for that. though i do not remember much of that night... i hope it was not me that broke the lamp in my drunken stupor... though i did manage to break other things... like my underwear... i am so cool.

if you're going to tape it, i suggest splinting it in 4 spots with posicle sticks (or any type of sticks really) to keep it from wobbling.
