hehe, i am sure u do realize the contradiction in the sentence... which why it should be self explanatory that you shouldn't do that... I am sure you know this, it is just amazing how such a small sentence be so striking

This is actually from a poem by Ma7moud Darweesh... This particular part glued itself into my head as soon as I heard it.

Do you know the poem at all? It was about the fall of Granada (gharna6a). He read it out to a huge crowd in Paris to comemorate the International Day for Solidarity with Palestine.. 29 November 1992. The poem was so moving even the date got stuck in my head :/

btw he had Marcel Khaleefeh with him playing the lute in the background :)

I think it's called "Soqout Gharna6ah".... As it also comemorated 500 years since the fall of the Arab rule of Spain (1492). I heard it live on the radio and also have a cassette recording of it, but I don't have a hard copy anywhere and searching the net was futile :(

I'll let you know if I find it!
