Potter noooooooooooo!

So... Harry Potter 7, huh? I didn't really care about this series until my mom and brother started reading it as if it was the cure to some outrageous disease. So here's my opinion on the last book.

She should have killed potter. Keeping him alive is just asking for a spin off series. If she killed him, then she would have ended the series so much ( Read more... )

Are you callin' me child-like? Them's fightin' woids!

In any case, I both agree and disagree on certain levels. I'm not gonna get into it cuz I figure this this is just a case of different strokes, but yeah.

I DID like that Grindelwald was probably a nazi. I dunno, Im a big fan of anything that makes it look like hitler used magic. I'm weird like that.

The above is purely opinion, so you're free to disagree. Besides, it's better to be child-like than childish. :p I agree with you about Grindelwald, though and there is historical proof that Hitler was at least trying to acquire magic.

Interesting view, I actually guessed you might not like it cause Robin feels the same that she let the reader down ( ... )

You're probably right about the growing up thing. I hadn't thought of that. I suppose I wanted it to have a deeper meaning than that. Then again, I'm a stickler for disproving fate cause I like to make my own decisions and I like to see characters in books to the same.

At the same time, a coming of age story is supposed to teach you something about growing up, not just that you need to do it. I felt that Rowling could have followed through and taught the readers something about growing up besides that it's inevitable, but she didn't. Like you said, she just gave people what was expected and made a cop-out ending.

I HATE the epilogue. It was so pointless. It was like putting two periods at the end of a sentence and it really didn't serve any purpose to the main story as a whole.
