the visuals remind me of this book of scary stories I read as a kid. I wish I could remember who illustrated it...or what it was called...or where I left my toothbrush.

Speaking of delightfully creepy things, you gotta check out this story:
http://www.wired.com/news/technology/0,1282,67513,00.html?tw=rss.TEKMore specifically, check out the pictures. There are shots of a chicken in a vest and virtual poultry molestation performed by Asian men. I figured you'd appreciate it the most.

It wasn't illlustraited by Edward Gorey was it? That's the only one I can think of at the time.

"Remote haptic interaction could allow people who are allergic to dogs and cats to caress their pets remotely."

You know, there comes a point where people need to step back and evaluate what they're doing and the purposes behind those actions. Here we clearly see a case of technology for technology's sake. And while I don't begrudge the exploration of the lighter side of gizmos...what the fuck?

If you're allergic to dogs and cats, don't get a god damn dog or cat! What's the point of having an animal if you can't even interact with it? We're moving towards a disstopian novel as we speak. Gyah.

It could also be that I don't really understand everything that goes into these sorts of things...so my ignorance aides to my fury. I am fueled by "stupid anger."

Wow. I just pointed and said "Holy crap! Chicken in a vest!" I didn't think of getting into a froth of social commentary. If we were having an agro-duel I'd be like, your bitch or something.

PS
The book was Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark and it was illustrated by Stephen Gammell. The stories weren't all that bad, but the illustrations gave me nightmares.
