go to ireland. ireland is cool, even though most of them don't speak Irish anymore. they still have cool accents. and it's really green, with nice scenery and exciting history and culture. the music is good too.

Looks like you're just going to have to work on your persuasion skills. Do they teach you that at Rabbi School?

go to ireland. i want to go to ireland. but i'm not going. so you should go. because it's ireland. it's green. and historical.
but why?
the music. the culture. the scenery. they speak english, but it's cool irish english. and some of them still speak irish too which has strange hebrew-like features so crazy conspiracy theorists think it's related, but it's not. and if you like beer ireland is a good place to visit. they're world famous for their beer.

My vote (in order):

Prague / Budapest
Paris
Bucharest

Remember that Paris is so unbelievably expensive that you won't believe it... :)

I loved loved loved Paris, but if you're looking for cheapish, that's not the place. I really loved Budapest - A LOT. Bucharest, not so much. But there are things to recommend it, one being the very very cheap travel to the rest of Romania (which I did like, very much).

You win! Prague/Budapest it is! For three more days (and twenty more dollars) than originally planned. Now that I've got the ticket, do you have any must see (or must miss) recommendations?

My first choice would be Ireland. Followed by Paris (by itself) or Barcelona (by itself).

In the end, my cousin's wisdom seems to have won out. I think I'm going to be leaving Western Europe for a more grown-up part of my life, and explore Eastern Europe right now. But thanks for the advice!

Dude, Paris! With that price and that much time, you can probably hit up Ireland and/or Spain while you're there.

Though the weddings. Hmm.

Yeah, the price is amazing. It's just that Western Europe is so freakin' expensive. And the weddings. Some other time, maybe? And this way I can also do a few countries (minimally: Czechia, Hungary, Egypt).
