World Pride II

Today was the main event of the WorldPride Multifaith Convocation. The sessions were pretty good overall. [Except for the keynote - "Introducing the Moral Values Project" with Professor Chai Feldblum. She basically talked about reclaiming the term 'moral values' from the right and using it to refer to the values of inclusiveness for all. Fine, but

i LOVE steve greenberg. LOVE. i first met him at ohio state when he and sandi simcha dubowski when they came to columbus to screen their film "trembling before g-d" - rabbi greenberg is from columbus, and his whole family came out to the screening! then just a few months before i graduated, when we were fighting ohio's "issue 1," the horrid marriage amendment that wound up passing, rabbi greenberg was back in town and i was able to meet with him again. he's the kind of person that you can sit with at a table, and start up a conversation, then suddenly realize you've been talking for 2 hours.

i'm not on LJ very often, not nearly as much as i used to be; i'm usually on myspace though. i have tried to keep up with your entries, and even passed one along to my mother. i wish you all the best, of course!

I really like that tolerance/ pluralism/ openness idea.

I'd been pretty sure the new Josh on Jewschool was "that Josh"-- name aside, it just sounded like him.
