Today it has alternately rained, snowed, rained, hailed, snowed, and rained all day. What happened to spring? I live in Jerusalem for crying out loud ( Read more... )

1. wrath of God? sense of humor of God? msg from God?

2. sounds good, especially getting to spend a couple weeks with boston people.

3. cook for more than five and eat leftovers all week? or....get to relax before shabbat?

Boston, and then Providence, and then Boston again? How are the internships working this year?

It's exactly as I said. One week in Boston taking classes at Hebrew College. Three weeks student teaching in the greater Boston area (extending as far as Hartford CT and Providence RI). Two more weeks in Boston at Hebrew College. Six weeks total between פסח and שבעות and some people are staying longer in the beginning and the end to spend the holidays with their families.

Ah cool, a taking classes at Hebrew College part. And the student teaching involves short stints at multiple schools, as opposed to one long stint at one school?

No, three weeks at one school. Two people will be at Gann, two at Maimonades, two at Newton Schechter, one in Hartford, one in Providence, and so on. Each of us within reasonable driving distance of Boston. I will be in Providence for all three weeks, in essence subbing for their primary Judaics teacher who will be in Israel with the 8th grade at the time.

I was there this time last year, and we had the exact same weather. I swear, I started joking about locusts, then that evening a bunch of crickets started chirping and I was ready to get out of there!

It's still barely Friday morning there. I have no doubt you'll have 8 Shabbos guests by the time the sun sets. Your meals are simply irresistable.

I love you! Have fun hosting and hiking without me!

!שבועה טוב
We were eight total. Two maybes never showed, but it was raining so that was to be expected. How was your Shabbat?

Guess who's avoiding washing dishes. :)

Yay, eight is a good number. And, I guess, rain is a blessing. Especially when you're hosting and don't have to leave home.

My Shabbat was nice. I talked with my mommy all day. And we went for a walk. And I slept in. She was very shabbat friendly, although sad I wouldn't go to shul and meet her rabbi. And last night was nice shabbat dinner with both my parents, and my mommy's garlic chicken (yum).

This is the one week when I don't have to feel guilty for not helping with dishes. Haha. :D On the other hand, you don't have to feel guilty for leaving them there, either.

This week: Interview with Disney on monday, interview with Intel on Wednesday, get to Gainesville on Thursday/Friday, fly home on Sunday. Yay for business.
