An odd week... With mayo..

So I've been sick for most of the past 3 months. Not really bad sick, but I've had a series of virus's which keep knocking me about.

I know what you mean ...

- being sick off and on ... for months

- the onions and mayo ...

- In Bruges ... GLW and I saw it in the cinema, almost by accident ... came out sort of trying to be happy, but all flat instead. Technically a good film, but I wouldn't see it again.

Now that's odd, for a I have a completely different perspective of In Bruges. Yes, it has some dark moments in it, but I find a lot of humour and laughs in there too - there's so much of the absurd in there that I can't help but laugh. I've described it as a film written by a melding of Guy Ritchie and Kevin Smith.

I first saw it about 2 months ago when a friend had rented it on Blu-ray not knowing it was region coded (and thus wouldn't play on his Japanese PS3). Since then, I've bought it on Blu-ray and watched it again. I think it was excellently done (writing, acting, cinematography, pacing) and will definitely watch it again in the future.

saw In Bruges with Del and Rick at Del's place. They both thought it was awesome, I thought it was kinda meh, mildly amusing perhaps.

Hope you feel better soon, it seems to be a year for people to be ill.

You introduced me to "bastard burgers". I don't think I've had one since then!

Actually I haven't had one in ages (I vary rarely eat fast food). But it's one of those memories of taste that's so easy to place.

Sorry we haven't been in touch. Seems we've been missing a few things, while prepping for little Penny.

I loved In Bruges. Saw it by myself at MIFF and laughed riotously and enjoyed every minute. Perhaps the virus didn't think it was funny.
