I want to say that I too am super excited about this challenge and can’t wait. I do have a question, though. Fairy tales have variants on a theme. For example, Cinderella has a lot of similar fairy tales mirroring the good girl and bad girl theme. If someone chose that type of fairy tale, does that mean nobody else can have that theme? Or are we merely going with title and location of fairy tale for claiming?

I love the idea for this and laugh because I'm tentatively drafting out a Frog Prince-esque fic right now. Heh.

I'd just like to point out that calling this a "fandom-wide" challenge is a little misleading. When I see that term, I think any fandom, which obviously isn't the case. <3

I have so many ideas already, I'm actually glad you're giving us a bit to decide, I don't know where to start!

Hmmm quick question, for the fanfics will they be one-shot only or can they be chaptered fanfics.

I can also not wait for this, I'm collecting ideas for either "East Of The Sun and West of the Moon" or "The Six Swans".

Re: Chapters in the fics: Feel free to divide your story into parts or chapters for length or stylistic purposes. Just know that you will have to post all of the chapters up on your assigned posting day, preferably with a masterlist organizing them. I know there's a certain appeal to posting your fic across scheduled intervals from the perspective of giving yourself a bit more time for writing/betaing, but your story will need to be fully completed by your posting date, so there's not much call for doing that (not to mention that putting up, say, two chapters a week for three weeks could detract from other people's entries being posted, and that's not very fair to them). So yes, you can separate a story into chapters, but you will still need to post the entire fic on one day like you would a one-shot.

Oh, "Six Swans" is one of my favorites! Can't wait to see where you take it if that's what you decide on!

Ah...did I miss reading that ^^;. Typical that I forget that I read what I'm posting the question about.

One of mine as well =3.
