That's easy.
Johnny Smith from The Dead Zone.
I am fascinated with his psychic abiltiies and empathize with his feelings of not fitting in. I also admire the way he deals with adversity and the problems that come with his gift.

Honorable mention to:
Ben Hanscomb, It
Stu Redman, The Stand

writer's block, stephen king

Probably Stu. Close second would be Ray Garraty from The Long Walk.

I think Stu Redman's my choice, but *all* yours are good. I've read The Stand so many times...

I have too. I was SO excited when the original version came out, as I read the 800 page version first. I don't think I've ever been so excited for a book.

I have also read It about a dozen times. The two longest books! Go figure. I think I love the whole "we are stronger as a group" thing he has going on in both of those books. :)

OMG, I loved it when the uncut version of The Stand came out! I've read It several times as well. Like you, I love the "group" thing.
