Terrence Mann is nominated for a Tony Award for best featured actor in a musical!

I've been a Mann fan since I saw him in Cats in 1983.
Couldn't be more proud. :-))))

I know I've seen him in The Dresden Files, but I must have caught him in other stuff - he looked so familiar in D.F.

It's so much more fun to watch awards shows when there's someone you're rooting for.

So true. Either someone you're rooting for or a show you've seen that you're rooting for. Back in 1983, when I saw Cats and first became a Terrence Mann fan, the show was nominated for best musical for the awards show airing in 1984. I was in college and in a rural literature program in New Hampshire with no access to t.v. So I walked into town (3.5 miles) just to watch the broadcast!

Pippin. Not sure of the exact role, but nomination for actor in a featured role.

I have another Terrence Mann story if you like that one. In 2000, I came close to meeting him two times before I actually did. Once I drove to NC to see him a play but he had appendicitis and left the theater before the show was over. A couple of weeks later, he was in NYC doing a talk show and I went and got 10 feet away but never got to speak to him. he was still weak from surgery and had to go. Finally, went to see him in a play in Williamstown MA with a group of fellow fans and finally got to meet him before the show. We ran into him outside. This was 17 years after I became a fan. After he went inside, I literally had a sobbing melt down outside the theater I was so freaking happy. :)
