The things you take for granted......

Anyone who's had oral surgery will understand. You don't realize how easy it is to open your mouth, to yawn; you don't realize how gross having stitches in your mouth can be.

So yesterday, I go into the office to check in, and the receptionist seemed instantly exasperated with me because not only did I drink waterthat morning, my dad didn't come

Dude, I totally know how you feel... I was a mess after getting mine out last fall--- and somehow I managed to still teach guard (albeit while drooling slightly) the day after my surgery... What was even funnier was that apparently in my super-drugged state, I stole Jack's magazine he was reading in the recovery room so I could read it (upside down), and I started crying on the way home cuz I didn't undertand why he wouldn't take me to taco bell. FYI---Cambell's Soup at Hand (soup in a sippy cup, basically) is AWESOME for mouth recovery-type occasions. Pick up a few, I swear it makes life easier!

LOL Tamika, that's hilarious about taco bell. You do come out of it really groggy and disoriented, I can see that happening. Now, if only I could open my mouth wide enough to yawn....

I know the feeling as well...it is very weird to be in a state and not have any concept what you are doing....kinda a lot like being drunk. Oh well...another thing that is filling that you can try is Spaghetti O's...they slide right down!

Once you can open your mouth to yawn...it will feel sooooo good!
