Curtin is making it unreasonably difficult to change to my new major. First they make me physically go to the student services office at the campus to re-enroll in my old major (after taking a 6 month leave of absence), then go back again with the forms filled out to enroll in my new major, then return a third time to enroll in the actual units and ( Read more... )

From what I heard JB treat their employees like shit but it might be different now two years on.

Yeah, thought it was you who said that. The one I'm thinking of applying at is a new one on Leach Highway. I don't know, they don't make them wear uniforms, so that's something. Shitty hours it always going to be my biggest problem with places like this, but I'm not sure that's really avoidable when it comes to casual work. Better then Elizabeth's Bookshop at least, who I discounted after they said they would want me to mainly work 3-11 pm shifts.

Yeah, from what I've heard it's pretty sweat. Although apparently they get a lot of applicants and with only 6 weeks retail work under my belt I'm probably not the best choice. Still, one of Jaime's friends works there who I presume had no prior experience so maybe I've got a shot.

JB Hifi is a pretty cool store, from what I gathered the few times I went there. Might be different in your country.

Eternal Sonata and the upcoming Infinite Undiscovery are the only reasons I want a 360 at the moment. Mas Effect too probably.

Thing is, 360's destroy themselves at the drop of a hat.

The store is pretty cool. It's just that it's apparently not a great place to work.

I have no real interest in Eternal Sonata. It really doesn't look like anything special. Really, I mainly want a 360 for Bioshock, Oblivion and Mass Effect. But yeah, the whole '33% of 360s die within the first year thing' puts me off a little. Apparently they've fixed this somewhat in the current models though.
