Once we decided what we wanted to do for them that Winsol, it wasn't very hard to get the materials that we were in need of. The Coven can be very resourceful and this time was no different. We wanted to do something special, something memorable and we also wanted it to be something that they would be able to enjoy for more than just a few nights during Winsol.
Someone told the ten of us that it would never work and that nothing never lasts. I don't remember who said it, only that the person had a conversation with the Boyos and he never came back to the Hall after that.
The Coven gathered what we needed from each of our Territories -- and the Kindred added their touches as well when I explained what we were doing.
It was the Weaver of Dreams who helped us find a way to make our gift last a longer time than just the holiday, and it was Karla and Katrine who added the ice and the fairy lights to the tops of the towers so that when I used my Craft everything glowed and the towers made their own light for the surroundings.
It was a castle made out of love for those that had shown me love and for their leader that had always served me and tried to defend me when I was a little girl.
I don't think that Char knew what to make of the gift at first, but it was Kalush who explained that the Coven wanted to give the cildru dyathe a piece of all of the territories as a reminder that they are never forgotten and that although we understood why they preferred their island, we love them and think of them just the same.
The Boyos will swear up and down that they didn't cry that day, but the Coven knows better. We cried, too, but the tears shed that day were happy tears. They were good tears.
Never doubt what you can do when you have the right materials and the right hearts working together for it.
