equity

As I trudged home from a long day of interning and LSAT practice (LSAT prep was the most draining) I couldn't help but wonder about the idea of equity. Now let it be known that in this instance when I use the term equity, I mean "equity" in this way: The idea of balance in talents (and I don't mean gold or silver [classics nerds unite!]. It seems ( Read more... )

you did just make a "Classics Nerds Unite" comment, doesn't that necessitate a socialization of the intellectuals. or are you just coming to a strange form of marxism....anyway.....yay todd!

an interesting idea, although it seems that one does not need to be "nerdy" with respect to something in order to be talented at that subject. An amateur (I think it comes from the verb amo in Latin) is someone who loves a subject. Knowledge is not necessarily skill. For example, I happen to know a lot about the chemical processes that occur in a souffle, but mine KEEP FALLING! DAMN YOU, EGG PROTEINS!!!

Much love to you, Erik

Todd???

I did not realize you had an LJ... or maybe I did and then it ceased to exist? I don't remember now. Somehow I recall the vague notion of you having an LJ. In any case... I do have one of these myself that I have not updated in quite some time; I found it was impossible in Greece, and now I can't think of what to say... weird how having so much to say can do that.

Hope you're having a good summer and good luck with the LSATs! My parents are telling me I should take them too even though what I really want to do is engineering. I suppose it dosent hurt to try.

start prepping now if you want to take them in september... I was prepping all semester and just took them a couple days ago, and my practice tests still weren't quite where I wanted them... I just hope the energy of test day bumped me a couple points...

How was Greece?

I'm not sure I'll devote all that much energy to preperation, but I might pick up a book at some point or other if I know when I'm actually going to take it.... Right now I'm busy with two math courses, and given that they're accelerated summer courses (and one is multivariable calculus) I'm not sure I need to look at any other academic stuff at the moment. Good luck with yours-- I know law school is what you really want to do and I'm sure you did well having spent all that time preparing ( ... )

habiibii, you know you're the most important thing in my life! Sorry I didn't post about my visit... I was too preoccupied with LSAT stuff... but it was absolutely wonderful.

On social ineptness... yeah... definitely a positive correlation there... the more socially inept, the more book smart... look at me, for example ;) This year... highest GPA yet... lowest occurrance of functional social encounters... and I'm kinda inept to begin with. So, yeah... totally agree with you there...

I thought we were going to live in new york...
