I understand completely what you mean. That is the reason that I love books like "The Thief of Always" and books by Holdenstock and Hoffman and even Marion Zimmer Bradley. The main characters live in a fantasy where they are not bound by the laws of mere mortals...they are magickal and they can move through this world (and many others) with impunity. They don't worry about the consequences of their actions and the idea of punishment and retribution (except what they choose to deal out) is foreign to them. There is no distinction between the "light" and the "dark" side except for those that truly and totally embrace just one.

Freedom...like those flying dreams. Curious thoughts indeed!
