Well, thank someone for Jody ('cause thank God, thank The Lord and thank Heaven all seem a bit irrelevant by this point). Bobby may have been slightly better off without the connection to Dean, but he was hardly doing well, and Cas has no idea how to cope with this level of emotion yet. So it was good that Jody came along and took charge, gave them someone emotionally stable to interact with enough to get them talking again.

I get why Dean and Cas have decided to head on out and I hope they get a bit of time to themselves to adapt and get Dean sober again before the next bad guy crops up. And yes, I'm looking at you, Crowley!
