Sometimes I hate being Head Boy. Sometimes I hate being Quidditch captain, too, but that's not nearly as often. Six days until our next match. I don't even remember the last time I did something but study, practice or act all Headly. Therefore, I would like to apologise to those who feel concerned about my lack of presence. And those who don't, ( Read more... )

Hate being Head Boy?! Hate being Quidditch Captain?! That's crazy talk! James, are you sure that bludger to the head didn't do some permanent damage?

Actually, I'm not loving being Head Girl much these days -- I hate taking points, and I've been doing it right and left. I just wish people would stop bickering in the journals! Couldn't they do it in their common rooms, or in the halls, where I will be slightly less likely to catch them calling each other horrible things? Besides, I had Wilkes whining like a bratty first year about taking 15 points from Slytherin for using slurs. She demanded to know why I didn't take points from Ravenclaw when Alex called her a twit. I've also been dealing with dozens -- DOZENS, James! -- of crying girls (and a handful of teary boys, too) who are all ahoo over bloody Valentine's Day. Honestly, I think we ought to ban the whole holiday! If they're already this worked up over it and it's still 10 8 days away ( ... )

I told you (and if I didn't, I'm sure Sirius did), I have a very thick skull. This is just stress. I mean, it'd be nice to actually have time to breathe, you know? Though I suspect it will get a little better after the game on Saturday.

Wilkes is being a baby too? I gave Lestrange detention for saying that he'd enjoy killing Sirius, to which he replied by saying that he "refuses to serve detention because of hypocritical rules." Honestly!

Why are they complaining to you about Valentine's Day? I mean, what do they expect you to do about it? Personally, I don't really get that day - seems a bit stupid that you should only do that stuff on one day a year, you know?

Sorry I didn't see you at the pitch. This upcoming game is taking most of my energy, I'm afraid. I'm glad to hear that you came, though - I assume that means you will be watching on Saturday?

Thanks, Evelyn. It's not the flying I hate, it's the time planning and such takes.
