Have you called/hugged your mother today? :-)

Woohoo! *rubs hands gleefully at the news*

I'm told that 'Un Blanc Chapeau' is correct.

And yes, it certainly hadn't occurred to me at the time, but it is a very ironic story to be writing on Mother's Day. :)

*g*

Now I'm confused. This Vietnamese girl who spoke French just told me it should be "Un Chapeau Blanc." Erm...have to go ask at la_francophonie or something...Too bad la_rainette has not been online lately.

My intuition says "Un chapeau blanc," as do the two french guys in my lab. Generally, adjective after the noun, except in special cases. (ie, belle/beaux generally goes before the noun, homme curieux means a guy who is curious, but curieux homme is a kinda strange guy)

Thank you :-)

So "mon jeune juge" is an example of such special case?

I'm going to shortly post the "wormwood and nutmeg tea" over at 30minutemuse, BTW.
I wrote the whole thing while I was doing the laundry. LOL.
