   When our my backyard birds gather under the feeders Jolie likes to run out and flush them.  Dammit Rudy would do the same thing and occasionally even catch and kill an unfortunate lagger.  Jolie hasn't had any success because most of the doves are bigger than she is and the other birds fly away quickly ( Read more... )

Its a hard call since he is such easy pickings. Let him be free and take his chances or be confined at a wildlife place. He might have some bird brain issues keeping him earthbound as well.

Bird brain issues-I hadn't thought about that. If he's missing an eye it could be that his skull/brain got injured too. Well, I think I'll take him in the next time I see him.

What a conundrum. I personally would take him to the wildlife place because then I wouldn't be fretting about him every day. You, I think are made of sterner stuff.

I would take him to the wildlife place too. As he already has limitations, he will at least be safe there.
